1979 is the first track of Masheena’s debut album West Coast Hard Rock. It’s an unmistakably groovy rocker, described as a mix between Black Sabbath and Kiss, with some EVH-esque guitar acrobatics thrown in for good measure. It’s about one of those days you long back to simpler times when rock was on the radio and on vinyl, and safety belts were optional.
1979 is co-produced by the band and multiple Norwegian Grammy-winner Iver Sandøy (Enslaved, Gaals Wyrd, Sagh, Audrey Horne++++), and mixed and mastered by Machine (Lamb of God, Clutch, King Crimson ++++).
