Odisea 4tet
The ensemble Odisea 4tet is the brilliant culmination of over twenty years of artistic research and regular travel to Andalusia, Spain. It is born out of deep, long-standing musical connections forged on the flamenco scene, most notably with the celebrated Spanish flamenco guitarist Óscar Lago.
Arriving from a world-class lineup of musicians from Norway, Andalusia, and France/Canada, the quartet is expanded by the powerful addition of award-winning flamenco dancer Nino de los Reyes. Together, the ensemble carves out a highly personal and adventurous sonic expression. Their sound builds directly upon the historic flamenco-jazz revolution ignited by legends like Paco de Lucía and Chick Corea. Rather than reproducing a static style, Odisea 4tet merges traditional flamenco structures with modern jazz harmony, syncopated group percussion, and the diverse global backgrounds of each individual member.
