The Baroque guitar

Since the pandemic I have started to learn the baroque guitar. Absolutely love playing this instrument and I’m currently working on building a repertoire on the instrument, but also trying to experiment a bit. I also have a collaboration with percussionist Francois Taillefer in the works, more soon

Gamelan on Flower Mountain in Bali

In 2010 I had the pleasure of studying different styles of gamelan in Bali. From Slunding to Gong Kebyar to Jegog gamelan. Here is a little video from that amazing experience.

Learning candombe in La Plata, Argentina

I love big group percussion. The sheer power of the sound it creates, and the grooves that just absorbs you into rhythmic trance. The Candombe is one of these. I was fortunate to learn and experience a bit of this tradition in La Plata, Argentina.

Xian duo

Me and Guzheng player Nora Yuyue Zheng has started a collaboration we call Xian (meaning; strings )

We work together combining the guzheng with other string instruments and electronics. We are planning to go on a journey to China to collaborate with some musicians there and record an album, hopefully sometime in 2023
