Masheena (Studio & Founding Period)
In 2021, I joined forces with a collective of long-standing hard-rocking peers in Bergen to form Masheena. I was given the nickname "El Mago" due to my multi-instrumental background, I served as the band's co-guitarist through their foundational era, tracking all lead guitar parts for their acclaimed debut studio album and performing across their initial cycle of live launch concerts.
Our debut full-length record, West Coast Hard Rock, was released globally in August 2023 via Majestic Mountain Records and Electric Talon Records. Co-produced by the band alongside multiple Norwegian Grammy-winner Iver Sandøy (Enslaved, Audrey Horne) and mixed/mastered by the legendary American producer Machine (Lamb of God, Clutch, King Crimson), the album is an unadulterated, groove-heavy tribute to the golden eras of rock and metal. It seamlessly blends the dark, heavy riffs of Black Sabbath with the stadium-rock swagger of Kiss, the alternative crunch of Soundgarden, and explosive, high-octane guitar acrobatics.
Following the successful release campaign and promotional launch of West Coast Hard Rock, I stepped away from the active lineup to prioritize my global multi-string fieldwork and international touring commitments, passing the torch to the band's current stable formation.

"1979" is the opening track of the debut album—an unmistakably groovy, high-velocity rocker celebrating the classic analog eras of radio and vinyl. The track features a series of highly technical, fast-paced lead guitar fills and solos tracked in Solslottet Studio.
